Overview: EVP, Client Services and Business Strategy – ProEd Communications
This position will be based out of a US office (NYC, Stamford CT, and/or Philadelphia) or can be remote/hybrid.

ProEd Communications, a Healthcare Consultancy Group (HCG) company, is seeking an EVP, Client Services and Business Strategy to join our growing, dynamic agency. This is a hands-on role that will provide leadership, motivation, vision, and direction to the client services team as well as the broader organization. Drawing on your strong foundation in medical communications, you will provide oversight and support to agency teams in developing and driving strategic and tactical planning to support our clients in achieving their business objectives. You will seek new opportunities for the agency and its people and embody a willingness to be bold in your thinking. Your relationship building skills will be integral to bridging partnerships with our clients as well as our internal stakeholders within ProEd, HCG and Omnicom. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and have experience working in scientific publications, medical education including digital solutions and multichannel planning. In this role, you will be part of the agency Executive Leadership Team.

What You Will Do:

  • Make client/business decisions in line with ProEd Communications and HCG business goals with a focus on company growth
  • Actively identify new business opportunities
  • Deliver capabilities presentations
  • Pursue, lead and engage agency team to prepare and execute new business pitches
  • Drive organic growth within existing client accounts by working with teams to develop and execute account growth plans
  • Provide guidance on client brand strategy and oversight of execution by team
  • Meet with client partners on a regular basis to discuss business plans and opportunities, assess agency performance and understand overall client satisfaction. Proactively work on solutions and improvements to better business partnership
  • Cultivate and maintain a unique wide network of valuable relationships in the medical communications and pharmaceutical business sector (clients, thought leaders, etc) that can significantly help strengthen the company’s network, focusing on top-level client relationships for key clients
  • Network and collaborate across agencies both internal and external to HCG and its parent company, Omnicom
  • Contribute to overall company marketing and promotion including participation in thought leadership
  • Lead integration of new and/or evolving offerings that offer solutions to our clients business needs
  • Maintain a deep industry knowledge of novel and innovative tools, technologies and services that can be applied to our business model to support agency growth
  • Act as an ambassador of company culture code
  • Oversee all aspects of team execution to ensure appropriate resourcing, quality and efficiencies
  • Own and ensure peer collaboration across teams and agencies, setting positive cultural tones, and proactively and effectively work with senior leadership to maintain a positive atmosphere
  • Model exemplary leadership communications while being inclusive and open
  • Successfully develop talent into positions of increasing responsibility at the individual, team, and department levels
  • Work with each direct report to further career development plans using our assessment and goal-setting system
  • Proactively partner across departments to resolve talent-related issues and challenges
  • Act as a role model for agency talent interactions; in partnership with HR you will identify, recruit, mentor, shape, and retain talent
  • In partnership with HR, you will own full career path guidance, recruiting, staffing, capacity planning, and retention strategies, including career development
  • Manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the client services team to ensure superior service is provided to our clients
  • Support and provide input to forecasts for all client businesses. You will share in the responsibility for meeting revenue targets
  • Contribute to agency-wide forecast management, troubleshooting, and upside opportunity development
  • Actively recommend plans or processes to positively impact bottom- and top-line revenue management for the agency
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of healthcare experience in delivering medical communications, with a strong background and understanding of the medical affairs function, scientific publications, pharma industry; experience in promotional medical education is desirable as well
  • Experience in developing and implementing scientific communication strategies for emerging and marketed products
  • Deep industry knowledge of novel and innovative tools, technologies and services that can be applied to our business model
  • Experience with digital solutions and multichannel planning is required
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and collaborate across disciplines to achieve company and business-unit objectives
  • Experience in managing large team(s) and/or departments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

The salary range for this position is $170,000-$225,000. This range represents the low and high end of the salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an HCG Agency in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, professional and academic experience, training, responsibilities of the position, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
